Hello Everyone,
As stated by one of the courses students there are some problems when installing Kali on our Raspberry Pi. For that reason I want to clarify some things in order to avoid misconceptions and fix possible problems ta you may face.
- Berryboot is not mandatory for the course. Berryboot was used because as you saw we install many different OS’s and use them many times in our projects. For that reason it is handy to be able to have all our OS’s available at any time. But if someone wants to install his projects without berryboot, it is ok and it will do the job, but he may have to swap sd cards in order to perform different projects.
- The automated AddOS method for installing Kali with Beryboot is broken most of the times. You will be able to install it but you will face some serious sources repo problems, and it will install an old version of Kali. To suspass this issues you can follow these fixes:
- https://forums.kali.org/showthread.php?38858-apt-get-update-GPG-error-key-expired
- To install Kali without beryboot you can follow the following official guide: https://docs.kali.org/kali-on-arm/install-kali-linux-arm-raspberry-pi
Thank you for your understanding and your support. Feel free to comment and ask any question.
