What is QCon?
QCon empowers software development by facilitating the spread of knowledge and innovation in the developer community. A practitioner-driven conference, QCon is designed for technical team leads, architects, engineering directors, and project managers who influence innovation in their teams.

Why should I attend QConSF?
There is no other event in the US with similar opportunities for learning, networking, and tracking innovation occurring in the Java, Web API, Data Science, HTML5/JavaScript, Mobile, Agile, and Architecture communities.

QConSF will host more than 100 speakers, 6 concurrent tracks, and many breaks, parties, and opportunities for networking.

Where is QCon San Francisco taking place this year?
QConSF is taking place at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, in the Embarcadero area of the city. Last year's event brought together over 850 practitioner-attendees.

How long does the conference run?
QCon San Francisco features full conference days (Nov. 11 - 13, 2013), followed by 2 days of tutorials (Nov. 14 - 15, 2013).

Who will be keynoting this year?
Two of four keynote speakers have been confirmed:
Rich Hickey, Author of Clojure, designer of Datomic will be talking about "Design, Composition, and Performance". His talk will explore the nature of design and composition and how it impacts our approach to software development practice and tools.

Brendan Eich, creator of Javascript, will be talking about t "The Present and Future of the Web Platform"In his talk he will survey interesting developments in the Web platform, analyze emergent trends, and make some predictions.
