Medford School District in Oregon Joins Other Beta Sites Worldwide Reporting High Customer Satisfaction from Aeonix’s Versatility, Simplicity, and Adaptability
Petach Tikva, Israel – January 8th, 2013 – Tadiran Telecom, a leader in communications solutions, announced today the general availability of Aeonix, a Unified Communications and Collaboration solution designed to empower distributed organizations by consolidating powerful business applications under a flexible and intuitive communications platform.
Following a successful beta phase, Tadiran is encouraging its 100,000 Coral System customers worldwide to seamlessly migrate to Aeonix by offering them an introductory speciel offer of 70% of user licenses with no charge.
Aeonix’s open architecture and intuitive management interface enables customers to adapt and grow in accordance with current demand and changing needs. With automated network diagnostics and recovery mechanisms for robust fault tolerance and the last word in software-based UC&C technologies, Aeonix has achieved a high level of customer satisfaction during its beta phase.
To date, Aeonix has been installed in dozens of beta sites globally. One such example is Medford School District, located in Oregon, US, where Aeonix was installed in a distributed environment serving 1100 users, in 20 district schools as a unified cluster solution.
“Medford School was looking to upgrade to a Unified communications solution that was technologically advanced, scalable and easy to manage,” said Jeffrey Bales, Manager, Network Services at Medford School District. “Implementation of the Aeonix took half of the time that we had allocated. Upgrading to Aeonix is a huge jump forward in technology and stability” continued Bales.
“While current Unified Communication solutions are generally based on legacy platforms and “patches” of acquired technologies, Aeonix presents a unique approach to lower total cost of ownership,” said Eldad Barak, President and CEO of Tadiran Telecom. “Aeonix’s private cloud deployment empowers distributed environments with all the flexibility and scalability of pure software architecture and open standards.”
Aeonix is a pure IP software based Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) solution that delivers powerful, flexible, and adaptable communications to large and small enterprises alike. Aeonix consolidates disparate business applications into a single powerful platform that can work in a variety of distributed environments, including virtual, private cloud and on-premises deployments.
Aeonix is a Linux based solution that supports open protocols such as SIP
(Unmodified), CSTA, and web services, allowing seamless integration with a variety of common
Applications and the ability to add user specific devices to the system (BYOD).
An Aeonix system can consist of one or many distributed servers, with each server providing
100% application functionality.
Aeonix’s scalability can extend customer networks based on current demand and changing needs. This allows customers the flexibility to buy and install only what they currently need, and to add users, remote locations, and additional applications as they become necessary,
